1. What This Policy Covers
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on the Eassy Finserve website, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how you can control the optional ones.
It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with information you send us through the Contact and Enquiry forms.
2. What a Cookie Is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Cookies can only be read by the site that set them, or by a third party whose content is embedded in a page you view.
Not every form of measurement uses a cookie. Where this site measures something without one, it is described in this policy anyway, because what matters to you is what is being observed, not the mechanism.
3. Cookies This Site Sets
All of the cookies below are first-party: they are set by this website, readable only by this website, and are never shared with an advertising network.
3.1 Strictly Necessary
These are set only when you sign in or record a cookie choice. They cannot be switched off, because without them the relevant part of the site does not work.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
eassy_session |
Keeps a signed-in staff member signed in to the internal Dashboard. | Expires with the session; subject to an inactivity timeout. |
eassy_csrf |
Protects Dashboard forms and actions against cross-site request forgery. | Same as the session above. |
eassy_client_session |
Keeps a signed-in customer signed in to the Client Portal. | Expires with the session; subject to an inactivity timeout. |
eassy_client_csrf |
Protects Client Portal forms and actions against cross-site request forgery. | Same as the session above. |
eassy_cookie_consent |
Records the cookie choice you made, and when, so we can honour it on your next visit and not ask again. | 12 months. |
If you never sign in, the only cookie this site sets is eassy_cookie_consent — and only once you have answered the banner.
Note on the Client Portal. The Client Portal is currently switched off while it is being built. While it is off,
eassy_client_sessionandeassy_client_csrfare never set.
3.2 Optional — Analytics
This category sets no cookie.
If you allow it, we count page views so we can see which pages are useful. Each page view records the page address, the site that referred you (if any), and a campaign tag if the link you followed carried one.
Visits are grouped using a one-way salted hash of your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and the date. That value cannot be reversed to identify you, and because the date is part of it, it is different every day — so we cannot follow you from one day to the next. Your IP address itself is not stored.
Analytics collection is additionally controlled by an operator setting and may be switched off entirely, in which case nothing is collected regardless of your choice.
3.3 Optional — Maps and Embedded Content
If you allow it, our Contact page loads a Google Maps frame showing our registered office. Google sets its own cookies inside that frame, under Google's terms rather than ours, and we have no control over or visibility into them. See Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses cookies.
If you decline, the map is not loaded and no request is made to Google. The page shows our written address instead, with a button that opens Google Maps in a new tab only if you choose to click it.
4. Third Parties
The complete list of third parties whose content can run in your browser on this site:
| Third party | Where | Category | Loads without consent? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Maps | Contact page only | Maps and embedded content | No |
That is the entire list. In particular, this site uses:
- No advertising or retargeting networks.
- No social media pixels, share widgets, or embedded feeds.
- No third-party analytics or tag manager. Analytics, where enabled, is first-party and described in section 3.2.
- No third-party font service at page load. Web fonts are downloaded at build time and served from this site's own domain, so viewing a page does not contact a font provider.
- No third-party chat or support widget.
Lending partner logos shown on the Lending Partners page are fetched by our server, cached, and served from this domain. Your browser does not contact the logo provider.
5. Your Choices
When you first visit, a banner asks what you allow. Nothing optional runs before you answer — the analytics beacon does not fire and the Maps frame does not load. You can:
- Accept all — allow both optional categories.
- Reject all — allow neither. Only the strictly necessary cookies described in section 3.1 are used.
- Manage preferences — choose each category individually.
To change your mind later, use the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page. Your new choice replaces the old one immediately and takes effect on the next page you load.
To withdraw consent entirely, open Cookie preferences and choose Reject all. Optional processing stops from that moment. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as giving consent, and takes the same number of clicks.
Browser controls. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent signing in to the Dashboard or Client Portal. Deleting eassy_cookie_consent will cause the banner to appear again, because the record of your choice is what that cookie holds.
6. How We Record Your Choice
Your choice is stored in the eassy_cookie_consent cookie on your own device, along with the date and time you made it and the version of the categories you were shown. It is not stored on our servers and is not linked to any account or enquiry.
We keep it on your device deliberately. Recording it server-side would mean identifying returning visitors in order to look it up — creating exactly the kind of tracking record this policy exists to limit.
If we change what the optional categories cover, or add a new third party, the stored version no longer matches and you will be asked again. Consent to one set of processing is not consent to a different set.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the site's cookies or third-party services change. The Last Updated date above indicates when it was most recently revised. Where a change adds a new category or a new third party, we will ask for your consent again rather than relying on a choice you made about something else.
